Personal
Injury
When an animal is injured by another animal, as a result of either
an intentional act or an act or omission of negligence, the injured
party may be entitled to money damages. Under New Jersey law, negligence
is not required to be proved if a human is injured by a dog. Gina
Calogero has successfully represented people and companion animals
who were injured by dog bites; she has also defended dog owners
who were being sued by someone who was bitten. Many insurance policies
do not cover dog bites. If you are sued, and if you are not entitled
to a paid defense from your homeowners insurance carrier, you should
have a lawyer to protect yourself. If you or your animals are the
victims of an attack, you should know your rights.
